Unskilled Mass Immigration is an increasing concern across the South Shore—St. Margarets riding, especially the Temporary Foreign Worker Program that provides subsidies for local businesses to hire unskilled foreign workers in place of Canadians. The result of this corrosive policy has been a clear shift in the demographics of entry level retail workers across the province. And, to add insult in injury, after two years of flipping burgers, pouring coffee, or stocking shelves, these newcomers will be eligible to become Permanent Residents and then take advantage of Canada's 'Family Reunification' policies to bring over family members. Canada's GDP Per Capita has been declining for seven quarters and counting and one does not have to look far to understand why. The Peoples Party would impose an Immigration Moratorium so that infrastructure and services can catch-up, and then look at immigration as a means to build our nation and province by attracting people with in-demand skills and experience that will help us prosper and grow. We don't need to import people to flip burgers, pour coffee, or stock shelves; instead, we should be importing people who already possess the skills that are in demand and where we have shortages. Immigration works for all involved when done properly. If elected, I will be your voice speaking out against unfettered mass immigration.
