Khalis is a professional geologist with over two decades of experience in Alberta's energy sector, along with international expertise in project and financial management.

As an active community member, Khalis serves as the Vice President of an Islamic Centre in Calgary.

Khalis is a proud resident of Signal Hill where he lives with his wife, a chartered professional accountant, and their two children.
