Queer, trans and ND (and proud to be). Born in BC. A success because of my tenacity. From farmer to School Trustee. Soon to be Chilliwack–Hope’s next MP. I’ve lived the struggle, and it's why I lead with empathy, and why I believe that we all need a better future for you & me.

I'm in this with you.

Growing up in BC in the 90s, I watched my family stretch every dollar, choosing between bills and groceries more times than I can count. I saw neighbours fall through the cracks of systems that were supposed to help them.

As a queer and neurodivergent kid, I learned early what it felt like to be unseen. I was trying to find my way in a world that wasn’t built for people like me. Those early struggles didn’t make me bitter. They lit a fire in me to fight for a government that doesn’t just serve the powerful, but one that truly sees, hears, and lifts up everyone.

In 2022, I made history as BC’s first openly transgender man elected to public office, serving as a School Trustee in Chilliwack. But for me, that role has never been about the title – it’s always been about the responsibility. I came in to do the work: fighting for inclusive education, protecting vulnerable students, and making sure every decision I made reflected a core belief: that no one should be left behind because of who they are or where they come from.

Now, I’m stepping forward to represent the people of Chilliwack–Hope on the national stage.

These issues are our shared reality.

The growing tensions with our biggest trading partner only increases the issues of everyday people. The rising costs of everything from groceries to rent. Local economies under pressure. Small businesses barely stay afloat. Families being priced out of the communities they love. Increasing barriers to mental health support. The ongoing opioid crisis is waging war in the lives of our friends and families.. Our shared struggles feel endless.

People are doing their best, but they’re being stretched too thin. It’s time for the federal government to step up, meet us where we are, and deliver what people actually need.

I bring a voice shaped by lived experience and guided by compassion. As a marketing professional, former farmer and director of the Chilliwack Market, I understand what it takes to support local economies, food systems, and small businesses.

I’ve seen how our communities succeed when we stand up against the erosion of our democracy and human rights, when we work to remove the barriers that stand in the way of success, and when we invest in sustainable, community-led solutions.

We have to stand together against the rise of fear-based politics, because we already know what happens when we don’t. Attacks on education, on 2SLGBTQIA+ rights, and on truth and reconciliation are already happening. They are real, and they are dangerous. I will not let that take root in our communities.

I'm offering a different path forward.

One grounded in hope, unity, and action.

I stand shoulder to shoulder with First Nations, with immigrants, with farmers and families, with every person doing their best to get by, and with anyone tired of being told to pick a side.

This campaign isn’t about me. It’s about us. I’m not asking anyone to follow me – I’m asking you to walk beside me. Because the future we want is one we build together.

The people of Chilliwack–Hope deserve bold leadership. We deserve policies that work for people – not the greedy and powerful.

Better is possible. We deserve it. And together, we can create it.
