Biographie
Beau Shaw is a passionate advocate for human rights who believes in building a stronger, fairer future for all Canadians. He is determined to ensure that issues like affordability, housing, and sustainable economic policies are prioritized, and that the voices of everyday people in Calgary are heard.
Originally from Thompson, Manitoba, Beau has called Calgary home since 2017. He is a life-long volunteer and currently chairs two grassroots advocacy organizations in Calgary, where he informs the public about issues affecting marginalized communities, brings people together to celebrate culture, and advocates for policy changes at all levels of government. In particular, Beau is passionate about preserving the rights of 2SLGBTQIA+ people to live in dignity as their authentic selves and encouraging Canada to become strong global partners in peace.
Beau studied communications and systems innovation at Mount Royal University and has worked as a self-taught audiovisual technologist and consultant in both the private and public sectors for the last 7 years. His collective experience has equipped him with the skills necessary to tackle the challenges facing our community today and to bring about meaningful solutions.
Beau firmly believes it is time to stop gambling with taxpayer money and start investing in the future. He is committed to holding big corporations accountable for price gouging, ensuring that all Canadians continue to have access to vital social programs like affordable childcare, dental care, and pharmacare, and taking real steps to address the housing crisis through incentives, streamlined development, and a federal rent-to-own program.
Beau is running to become your MP because he believes our community deserves better. Too often, our voices are drowned out by special interests and political gridlock. It’s time for a change — a change led by someone who listens, understands, and acts in your best interests. If elected, Beau will work tirelessly to ensure your concerns are heard and acted upon. Together, we can build a brighter future for our children, neighbours, and all those who call this place home.
Let's make it happen. Together.
